The Nintendo Wii is video game console which will keep you entertained and occupied for hours. It is addictive and one cannot deny the fact that is almost impossible to drag yourself away from the television screen when the Wii is connected to it. Using an unlocking Wii software is probably the safest bet. All you need to do is buy it, install it on your computer system and transfer it to the console. This is when the SD card slot comes into the picture. This slot will be present on your computer as well as the Nintendo Wii. Therefore, once the software is transferred to your computer, you need to insert the SD card and transfer it onto that. Once the SD card enters the slot in the Wii, your job is done and you will be able to enjoy all the hidden features. Always make sure that you buy the unlocking Wii software from a trusted website or shop because otherwise, you will make the hackers and so called villains of the gaming industry quite rich.
Another way to unlock the Wii is to install a modification or mod chip onto it. This includes opening up the exterior of the game and exposing the hardware. Now, unless you are familiar with the complex wiring and are aware of the technical know how, you should stay away from this method. If you make a single mistake, the game will be ruined and you will either have to throw it away or spend as much as you spent on it purchase, on the repairs. If you are lucky enough to use this chip successfully, there are great chances that you will end up damaging the performance of the game. All your games will become unbearably slow and you will get frustrated enough to send it to the company for repairs. The worst part is that the warranty card will be of no use. If that does not convince you, the fact that the installation of a mod chip is illegal definitely should.
The soft mod method is quite popular mainly because one does not need to modify the hardware of the Wii. As long as you follow all the instructions, you will be fine and there is no way that warranty will be voided. Unlocking Wii may seem like a colossal task but fact is that you will not regret it.
