Throughout 2011 there were a whole host of brand new cars brought to the market and others that were launched slightly earlier really made an impact. For example, the Nissan Juke was launched slightly earlier but really made its mark in the crossover sector this year. For many, this vehicle has been the savior for Nissan. I have seen many Nissan Jukes in Poole cursing through the county roads. It offers the best of both worlds, the feel and drive of a hatchback and has the practicality and versatility of an MPV, which makes it ideal for those with busy families. It led the way for similar crossover vehicles and this year we saw an abundance bought to the market. The Peugeot 3008 won a whole host of awards, including WhatCar's prestigious Car of the Year award. This article cannot finish however without mention of THE car of 2011. Its launch was anticipated for many, many months and we were finally able to get our hands on one (if we were lucky enough!) in September 2011. I am of course talking about the outstanding Range Rover Evoque. This compact new offering from Land Rover took up many inches of column spaces and it certainly didn't disappoint! I doubt that there will be a vehicle that creates so much chat within the automotive industry launched in 2012 as this really was an outstanding new vehicles which was marketing very cleverly by those at Land Rover, with the use of top celebrities to create a sense of exclusivity. We don?t have long to wait until 2012 now but I imagine some of the cars which will cause a stir include the likes of the Skoda Citygo and electric vehicles as this wil really be the focus moving forward.
